Pet care franchisee succeeds through dedication

Jayne McGarry’s interest in animals tempted her to look at the OSCAR pet care service franchise

Jayne McGarry has been involved in franchising for over nine years, focusing on customer care. She says: “I was committed to my business and became very successful, but my support of Guide Dogs for the Blind increased my desire to work with pets, helped by Kayley, my newly adopted guide dog, who was sadly withdrawn from service due to an eye condition.

“My first contact was with the British Franchise Association, but OSCAR was already on my shortlist, having met them at a dog show and subsequently seen their vans in different towns. With my previous experience in the franchise industry, I was confident OSCAR would be an ideal choice and after speaking to franchisees and customers I decided the complete pet care service was my future. To work from home with the flexibility of an outdoor business and the opportunity to meet people and their pets would allow me to continue my emphasis on customer care.”

Development
—————-

Self-discipline and a varied marketing plan has proved successful in the development of Jayne’s area. “The quality product and high level of service is key, added to which my customers are pleased they never run out of food or experience the stress of carrying home bulky items from the shops,” she says. “My business is allowing me time to build loyal customer relationships, as well as getting to know their pets, where so far I have helped to improve skin conditions for a West Highland Terrier and Jack Russell. ”
