The nursery franchise has recruited its latest franchisee, Aneesa Mukhtar, to the network
Sunderland has welcomed Banana Moon to the city following a new franchise agreement with Aneesa Mukhtar.
Mukhtar has a background in education and hopes to leverage this as she builds her Banana Moon business.
She’s also a parent of two children who attended nursery from a young age, and believes this first-hand experience will prove beneficial to her approach.
The new location is situated near Sunderland city centre at Rowlandson Terrace, Hendon.
The nursery, which has been kitted out over the summer prior to opening, includes two secure outdoor areas, a sensory room, a designated dining room, and an on-site kitchen operated by a dedicated chef.
Mark Bates, founder and managing director at Banana Moon, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Aneesa and the Sunderland team to the Banana Moon family. It’s always exciting to see a new Banana Moon nursery open its doors – supporting local families and also the local economy by recruiting from the area, providing training and the opportunity to build long-term careers in early years education.
“As a family business, it’s especially meaningful to us to bring our high-quality care and early education to families, and we’re excited to make a positive difference in the area.”
