The restaurant will be the fourth opening since the brand was founded at the end of 2020
Sunderland City Centre is set to welcome a new Burger Drop location, following a new franchise agreement.
The restaurant, located at 12 Derwent Street, will open to the public later this summer.
Diners can expect smashed beef burgers made from locally sourced meat which is minced on-site. Other menu items will include smashed crispy fried chicken wings and super thick shakes.
The interior will be decked out with modern and comfortable aesthetics and aims to be a casual lunch spot and a fun dinner with friends or family.
Hasan Hamid, founder of Burger Drop, said: “We are incredibly excited to open with our new franchisees in Sunderland City Centre.
“Sunderland is a vibrant and fun city with an aspiring culinary culture, and we are eager to become a part of that community.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to create a space that reflects the energy and spirit of Burger Drop, and we can’t wait to welcome burger lovers from all over the area, later this year.”
