Subhan Munir has launched his third store at Derby’s retail and leisure destination Derbion, creating 15 new jobs
The new Burger & Sauce store is situated in the shopping centre’s food court, which is currently undergoing refurbishment due to a £2m investment.
Subhan confirmed: “Excitement had been building up to the grand opening. We launched with two days of special promotions, with 50 per cent off all burgers on 2-3 December 2022 to welcome new customers and let them experience the amazing taste of our fresh burgers, all made to order, plus our range of signature sauces.”
Burger & Sauce was named the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year 2022 for the Midlands, and it now has seven restaurants, with more set to open in the region within the next few months.
Subhan also runs the Alum Rock, Birmingham and Nottingham stores, and he said: “It’s been an incredible year. There are certainly challenges with increased costs which all businesses are facing right now, but we’ve worked hard to continue to offer great value to our customers without any compromise on the quality food we offer.”
The franchised fresh burger chain offers its customers a combination of quality and convenience, and its outlets have exceeded trading expectations. The brand is proud to partner with Derbion to help create a great shopping experience for visitors.
Adam Tamsett, centre director at Derbion, explained that Burger & Sauce is part of an exciting line-up that will bring a whole new atmosphere to the food court. He said: “We’re always on the lookout for new brands and experiences that our customers will enjoy, and we’re excited to be able to welcome Burger & Sauce to our refreshed food terrace.”
The new store will join existing brands such as Subway, GDK and KFC, as well as Derbion’s eight standalone restaurants, including Wagamama, Carluccio’s, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Fridays, Five Guys and Popeyes.
Burger & Sauce is currently recruiting ambitious individuals to grow the franchised brand around a two hours drive from Birmingham, and some franchisees are interested in larger multi-store development agreements slightly further afield.
