“We pride ourselves on putting health and safety, the environment and equality and diversity at the forefront of everything we do," says Jon Parker of Drain Doctor Oxford
Leading drainage and plumbing business, Drain Doctor Oxford, has been awarded the CHAS accreditation (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) in recognition of its ongoing commitment to health and safety best practice.
CHAS was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK. It is the foremost authority on UK compliance, risk mitigation and supply chain management and demonstrates compliance with, and sound management of, current health and safety legislation.
In order to achieve this accreditation, Drain Doctor undertook a comprehensive audit to review the policies, procedures and controls it currently has in place. The business demonstrated a strategic approach to environmental issues as well as good health and safety management.
Jon Parker of Drain Doctor Oxford said: “We were very proud to achieve the CHAS certification and pride ourselves on putting health and safety, the environment and equality and diversity at the forefront of everything we do, both for our staff and for our customers. This accreditation not only demonstrates high standards of health and safety practices to our customers, but it reassures them that we have done our due diligence and comply with current legislation. CHAS will now enable our business to stand out from the crowd of other contractors and unlock more business opportunities within the public sector.”
