The business is supported by high levels of client demand, retention and advocacy, and has excellent margins and substantial potential for expansion
Established in 2012, after-build and ‘sparkle cleaning’ specialist, The Kleaning Company, is offering franchises to a select number of individuals to facilitate the company’s growth and desire to develop national brand coverage.
21 exclusive territories have been identified in the UK, with each one offering an excellent opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs to build a highly profitable franchise operation. The business is supported by high levels of client demand, retention and advocacy, and has excellent margins and substantial potential for expansion.
After-build cleaning involves deep cleaning buildings towards the end of or immediately on completion of a new build or refurbishment construction project in commercial or residential developments.
Depending on the degree of cleaning required, the process could involve up to six cleans to achieve a pristine, ‘sparkle clean’ building.
The services are delivered by trained cleaning teams, transforming newly built or refurbished buildings into presentable environments ready for occupation by owners, tenants, businesses or customers Dan Twiselton, managing director of The Kleaning Company, explains: “We have excellent client feedback, fantastic testimonials and a strong reputation for quality, service and exceptional attention to detail, resulting in satisfied blue chip, business-to-business clients who use our services on an ongoing basis and also refer businesses to us.
“Our client base includes major construction and interior fit-out companies, typically for projects with house builders, hotel chains, national retailers, sports stadiums, student accommodation complexes and building renovation companies, to name a few.”
The Kleaning Company prides itself on delivering focused training across the business.
During initial training, franchisees will meet and work with the company’s management team and key personnel.
Training is tailored to individual requirements and covers areas such as company structures and procedures, how to operate a TKC franchise, how to use the cleaning equipment, administrative systems and recruiting and training staff.
TKC will also assist you in launching your franchise to create maximum local awareness of the business.
Activities include contacting existing and potential new clients in your territory, personalised emails to existing clients to promote your business, establishing contact with local, regional and national construction companies and marketing via social media.
According to Dan, franchisees ideally require some experience of the construction industry or commercial cleaning sector, possibly as a site manager, project manager, surveyor, recruiter or even working in sales for a building material business, equipment supply company or construction industry recruitment.
“A husband and wife team may also make idea franchisees,” Dan says. “However, as our professionalism and reputation are important to our success to date, it’s more important that franchisees have the necessary business-to-business sales and relationship management expertise to develop and sustain strong professional business relationships.
“Franchisees will also need to demonstrate excellent people management and leadership skills, as well as exceptional business administration, management and customer service.”
Total estimated investment for a TKC franchise is £50,000. This includes the franchise package fee, leased equipment and start-up costs, plus working capital of around £15,000.
Dan adds: “As we are only recruiting 21 franchisees across the UK, we aim to cultivate a personal relationship with our franchisees and, indeed, between each franchisee.
“We will grow the franchise business with this ethos and work in collaboration as a team for the ultimate benefit of growing sales, profitability and brand awareness for everyone in the franchise network.”
