The QSR franchise, German Doner Kebab, has partnered with Adam Deacon’s new film ‘Sumotherhood’ to release special edition meal boxes.
Customers can now buy a German Doner Kebab Boss Box as part of promotions for the new urban comedy ‘Sumotherhood’.
The meal box includes visuals from the new film as well as interactive elements. Customers can use their phone to scan a QR code on the box which will take them to the film trailer.
Customers of the Boss Box will receive a main doner kebab dish (OG Kebab, Veggie Kebab, Doner Wrap, Kcal Kebab or Doner Quesadilla), a side (Doner Spring Rolls or Chilli Cheese Bites), as well as fries, signature sauces, and a drink.
The meal box is £15.99 and currently available as take-away or delivery from one of GDK’s 130+ restaurants across the UK.
Cinemagoers will also be able to see German Doner Kebab on the big screen, as the brand features in the film as part of the protagonists’ journey to becoming ‘road men’.
‘Sumotherhood’ is the sequel to ‘Anuvahood’ and features big names such as Ed Sheeran, Jeremy Corbyn Jammer, Lethal B, and Jennifer Saunders.
Ed Duah, director of brand partnerships at German Doner Kebab said the franchise was thrilled to collaborate on a sequel to ‘Anuvahood’ – a film that has become ‘culturally iconic’ since its release in 2011.
“Culture is at the heart of everything we do at GDK and has been key to our successes in the entertainment industry,” said Duah.
“We can’t wait for German Doner Kebab and the Boss Box to fuel film fans hunger across the country for this hotly anticipated sequel.”
John Fletcher, managing director at Paramount Pictures UK said: “German Doner Kebab are the perfect partner for this release as they are so deeply rooted within UK culture through partnerships with some of the nation’s biggest stars in the urban scene.
“We are delighted to be partnering with such an iconic fast-casual brand for ‘Sumotherhood’ and cannot wait to give the Boss Box its cinematic debut.”
