Domiciliary and medical care franchise Kare Plus is proving so popular that it has just sold its first double territory management franchise - to physiotherapist Vijay Guntuka.
Vijay, a healthcare professional in the NHS, works within the community visiting nursing and care homes, so he was more than aware of the growing demand for independent care providers and the potential for building a successful business in the sector.
OPPORTUNITY
“Kare Plus was exactly what I was looking for,” Vijay explains. “They offer medical as well as domiciliary services, which is important to me, and I was impressed by the support structure and experience of the management team. In short, I was convinced I wouldn’t find a better franchise opportunity.”
Rather than leave his career as a physiotherapist, Vijay has recruited a management team to look after the day to day operation of his franchises in Bradford and Scarborough.
INVESTMENT
“Vijay’s investment in two territories and the setting up of two dedicated management teams reflects his confidence in the Kare Plus brand and business model,” says Steve Welsh, Kare Plus’ managing director. “People working in the NHS can see what the opportunities are in the sector and we anticipate many more health professionals will be quick to seize the chance to build a lucrative second income stream with Kare Plus.
“Within the next four years we hope to be negotiating NHS contracts worth an estimated £140 million. We also aim to develop our services to meet the increasing demand for health and particularly elderly care. We have already quadrupled our network within the last nine months and anticipate more than doubling it again by the end of 2013.”
