This makes it the only fitness concept to have a studio on a military installation
F45 Training has brought its world-class fitness concept to military members and families with the opening of F45 Training Miramar Base MCAS, making it the only fitness concept to have a studio on a military installation.
To mark this major milestone on 11 June, award-winning actor and F45 investor, Mark Wahlberg, joined F45 Training to celebrate the opening and honour the military for their service.
“We are honoured to be able to open up a gym on a military base and have them be as excited and enthusiastic about it; it’s incredible,” said Mark Wahlberg.
“When we talked to all four branches of the military about the F45 opportunity, and when they actually saw the concept, they were thrilled.
“It felt like it met all the criteria and then some. And it would elevate all their servicemen and women, their spouses and their family members’ fitness.
“And then we will hopefully be opening gyms and finding great partners and franchisees from former military people.
“Hopefully we will continue to grow the relationship and the goal is to have an F45 studio in every single military installation all over the world.”
The F45 Training programme is built on Functional Training exercises delivered through High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Circuit Training, and will be offered seven days a week on the military base. The MCAs Miramar studio marks a new chapter for F45 Training, which will offer complimentary fitness classes for active duty service members and proprietary tailored programming focused on Combat Readiness and Transitional Readiness. Additional programme offerings include the Veterans Impact Program (VIP45) and a US Department of Defense (DoD) approved SkillBridge Fitness Internship Training Program.
