Boost provided by customers gearing up for travel bounce-back as pandemic restrictions set to be eased
Not Just Travel’s network of over 800 home-based travel consultants has recorded its busiest weekend ever for sales and bookings.
March 2021 was the busiest month for franchise sales since January 2018 - double Not Just Travel’s monthly average for the last quarter and three times the average for the last 12 months.
The travel agency has also reported a significant increase in the number of people enquiring about becoming franchisees.
Not Just Travel co-founder Paul Harrison says: “The future is entrepreneurial - the trend for home working and franchising is just growing and growing.
“There’s so much excitement around the travel industry at the moment.
“It’s always been one of the world’s biggest industries, but now it’s become the next big business opportunity.
“Everybody knows at least a few people who can’t wait to go on holiday.
“It’s no wonder that we’ve seen so much interest from individuals who want to make money from what will be a boom time for the travel industry.
“Travel is the industry where people are seeing huge potential as we start to come out of a pandemic.
“People are entering with their eyes wide open to the restrictions, but they still see this as a huge opportunity for the next few years.
“This is like being at the start of the gold rush - you want to be in at the beginning.
“It’s a new beginning for the travel industry. Even during a pandemic, we’ve seen so many success stories of new franchisees getting started and achieving phenomenal sales in their first 30 days.
“As a business, we have millions of pounds of commission queued up ready to pay out once our customers start to travel - that’s exciting times for customers going on holiday and exciting times for travel consultants who will be making some serious money.”
Last year, Not Just Travel introduced its lowest ever start-up package, costing £2,495 with a monthly fee of £299 thereafter.
Designed to allow people to get started with less upfront risk, it’s already proven to be a big success, with many travel consultants choosing to then upgrade their package.
