A franchise business that was set up during the economic downturn of the late 2000s is celebrating a decade of success.
Richard Greenwood’s Ovenu Leeds North West operation has completed over 25,000 oven valets in that time.
Richard, who also runs Ovenu franchises in Bradford and Wakefield, and his team carry out around 50 oven valets per week across the region.
“It was certainly a risk that has paid off after starting out with Ovenu at the height of the UK’s economic downturn, but those challenging times helped me to shape the business and expand into new territories across the county,” Richard says.
“I have met a lot of people over the course of my oven valeting career so far and made many friends for life over this period, which has made the job even more satisfying.
“I am looking forward to celebrating further milestones in the future as I continue to grow the business.”
Ovenu’s franchise network comprises 100-plus businesses around the UK.
The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven, such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves, and placing them into design registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts.
The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
