Joining Papa John’s in 2013, franchisee Abdul Sattar Askar now manages 12 outlets
Papa John’s multi-unit franchisee Abdul Sattar Askar has just taken over two stores in Bedford, bringing the total of Papa John’s outlets he manages to 12.
Abdul Sattar Askar, who joined Papa John’s in 2013, explains: “I have exciting plans for expansion over the next few years with ambitions to run up to 40 Papa John’s. The two Bedford stores are close to my other outlets so I’m building a cluster of Papa John’s in the region, which works well for recruitment, marketing and overall management.
“The store on Greyfriars will now be fully refurbished while the store in Kempston will stay open for business as usual. All the staff will stay with us, and my aim is to add to the team as I ramp up the marketing in the region.
“Papa John’s has always been my favourite pizza and the superb quality and innovation in menu choice is second to none. It’s what first attracted me to the franchise. I’m now delighted to be growing my portfolio of Papa John’s with the help and support of my extended team and continuing to deliver pizza to our local communities for everyone to enjoy with their friends and family.”
Amit Pancholi UK director of business development, Papa John’s said: “Abdul’s focus and his approach to store management, putting his valued staff right at the heart of his operation is inspiring. As a franchisor, we support all our franchisees and welcome new applications from motivated individuals looking to become multi-unit operators. Potential franchisees need to be prepared to go the extra mile for their customers and be hungry for success in this dynamic and fast-paced industry.”
For those interested in running a multi-unit Papa John’s franchise or opening up in a ‘non-traditional’ location, incentives are on offer to open this summer in addition to world-class support, comprehensive training and national marketing.
