Bio-Rite, a leading infection control company, has launched as a franchise
This new development will enable Bio-Rite’s quality service and standards to be offered by a select group of franchisees in strategic locations throughout the UK.
Alan Wright, managing director of Bio-Rite, says: “The health care decontamination sector has seen rapid growth in recent years. The challenges faced by health care providers is only set to continue, as they struggle to cope with the increasing threat from infections such as MRSA, C.difficile or norovirus.
“As a group, we have more than 40 years’ experience in infection control, providing tailored services to the NHS, local authorities and care and nursing homes.
“As well as area decontamination, we provide equipment recycling, which enables beds and mobility apparatus to be decontaminated safely and effectively. We also supply a mattress decontamination service that meets the needs of NHS hospitals, private clinics and nursing homes and complies with all infection control guidelines.
Bio-Rite’s products and services include:
This service was developed for and proven in over 40 NHS hospitals across the UK.
“For the past year from our ISO9001 accredited facility and offices, we have been meticulously preparing to expand and replicate our established business model through franchising,” Alan says.
“We are now looking to offer suitable candidates the chance to become Bio-Rite franchisees, running their own successful franchised businesses. We have recently attended both The British & International Franchise Exhibition at Olympia and The Franchise Show at ExCeL and the interest so far has exceeded our expectations. People immediately recognise this is a genuine business opportunity with a ready customer base with real needs.
“Becoming a British Franchise Association member has been an important part of the process of franchising Bio-Rite. Rigorous accreditation of our company’s history and standards means we can prove we have our franchisees’ best interests at heart by agreeing to adhere to the bfa’s code of ethics in franchising.
“We are delighted to have been accepted as a provisional bfa member. As well as a safeguard for franchisees, it will also help us attract the best candidates to join our network.”
Pip Wilkins, chief executive of the bfa, says: “Membership of the bfa is only open to franchisors and professional advisers to the franchise industry that are able to satisfy our accreditation criteria successfully.
“In joining the bfa, Bio-Rite has undertaken to develop their franchise network from the outset in accordance with the bfa’s strict set of criteria relating to best practice, operational procedures and franchisee support. This is an important and welcome first step towards their long-term commitment to ethical franchising.”
Alan adds: “The challenge of infection control faced by the health care profession is only set to continue as staff struggle to cope with the increasing threat from common infections. We are now looking forward to welcoming potential franchisees to help us expand our established decontamination services throughout the UK.
“We believe the candidates who will become successful Bio-Rite franchisees will be self-motivated and get on well with people. Ideally, they will have management and sales experience.
“However, as full training and help with set up will be provided, the franchise could be suitable for anyone with a broad background in business and who is determined, prepared to work hard and has the enthusiasm to succeed.
