EweMove reports sharp rise in enquiries from prospective franchisees
EweMove has seen a significant increase in the number of former shop and hospitality workers contacting the company to learn more about a new career in estate agency.
The award winning business, which has more than 120 franchises in the UK, says it wants to attract more people from a retail and customer service background because their skills are well suited to becoming a successful estate agency business owner.
EweMove managing director Nick Neill (pictured) says: “This has been a brutally tough year for many sectors, but especially retail and hospitality. However, estate agents were in a privileged position of being able to keep people moving safely.
“We’ve seen a big leap in the level of enquiries from people who haven’t had any agency experience, but can see the opportunity of running a pandemic proof business with full support from a team of well established experts.
“People who have worked in retail and hospitality often have the people skills and work ethic and can transfer those attributes to successfully running their own estate agency.
“All our franchisees, several who joined with no property industry experience, receive full training and ongoing support.”
EweMove bucked a national trend by growing during the pandemic.
“During the lockdown periods, our business has grown largely in part because of the systems and technology we have in place and the hard work and dedication of our franchisees,” Nick says.
“We came out of the first lockdown stronger and we’re doing well in this second lockdown. We believe this shows the agility and strength of our business model.
“We’re proud that people from other backgrounds are joining us and starting businesses that put them in control of their futures.”
