Jonathan Bean, managing director of Signs Express said: “Mark clearly understands the importance and value of a strong team and through his leadership has created a culture of positivity and a working environment that delivers the very best from his team.”
The team was also a winner in the Best Sign Project category with their work on the Celebrity Edge cruise ship. The project was vast and consisted of a variety of signage including the main attraction, a freestanding logo which stood at 2.3m x 1.8m. The sign was illuminated on both sides and created a bold first impression as passengers walked through the terminal. The signage created the impact the client wanted and was seen across multiple social media platforms.
Not only did the Celebrity Edge project help earn the team a trophy, but they were also finalists in the Most Striking Design and Best Interior Sign categories for the project.
Further celebration also came with Michal Markiewicz, production manager, being announced as a finalist in the Employee of the Year category. Since starting, Markiewicz has constantly impressed the team with his positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Kendall said: “We are very pleased with our successes at the Sign Awards. Personally, receiving the Franchisee of the Year Award and also scooping the win with the Celebrity Edge project. Being a finalist in three categories, especially for Michal in his category is brilliant. We couldn’t be prouder of the team.”
