Brand opens new store at the University of the West of England in Bristol following survey of students' on-campus food preferences
The Subway outlet offers students, lecturers and visitors access to a menu of freshly prepared subs, wraps and salads. Situated near the visitor car park, the store will also attract passing footfall traffic.
Open seven days a week and with seating for up to 32 customers, it features the company’s ‘Fresh Forward’ décor, comprising a bright colour palette and clean lines. Further outdoor seating is also planned.

Kristian Fernandez-Mitchell, business improvement manager at the University of the West of England, says: “Following student survey feedback, we realised that improving the university’s food offering was key to giving our students a great experience on campus.
“We wanted to create a destination and high street brands appeared to be key to giving students what they want. Ultimately, big brands are what students want and with Subway being in the top three for student choice it was evident Subway was a winning choice for students at UWE Bristol.”
Subway has over 2,500 stores in the UK and Ireland, around 25 of which are within education establishments.
