The first retail outlet in the UK to showcase the new look of Britain’s biggest blinds store chain has opened in Birmingham.

The unveiling of Apollo Blinds’ new identity at the showroom in Erdington signals the start of a programme to re-brand all 80 Apollo Blinds franchise outlets.

Apollo Blinds wants to migrate all franchisees to the new branding as quickly as possible following the unveiling of its new logo at the end of last year. The programme is expected to be completed by the summer.

The company has invested more that £600,000 in its new logo and changes to its infrastructure, as part of a five-year plan to double the size of its franchise network across the UK and Ireland.

Speaking at the unveiling, General Manager Patrick Harrison said the first store carrying Apollo Blinds’ new look exceeded all expectations.

“We have spent more than a year developing and refining the look of Apollo Blinds and until today it had all been artist’s impressions and mock-ups,” he said. “But now we have the first of the new generation of Apollo Blinds showrooms and it looks fantastic.

“This heralds a new dawn for our company and we are confident that Apollo Blinds will go from strength to strength, helping people to build strong and prosperous businesses using our brand.

“We are now rolling out the re-branding programme as quickly as we can because all of our franchisees want the new signage at their showrooms.”

Franchisees of the Erdington store, Pam and Clive Barnett, are equally delighted with the look of their showroom.

Says Clive: “We love the way Apollo Blinds has re-branded and repositioned itself at the consultative end of the market as an expert in home interiors, rather than just a retailer. We get a lot of passing trade and the signage should have a huge impact in appealing to even more people.”
