Franchisees engaged in car rally across Europe as part of fundraising activities as part of the brand’s Travel Trade Crusade
A charity car rally organised by The Travel franchise has raised £63,000 for charity.
At the beginning of July, eight teams of franchisees raced their way across six European countries, which included Germany, Switzerland, Franchise, and The Netherlands.
All participants dressed up in costumes for the event which saw the likes of Willy Wonka, Scooby Doo, bumble bees, and more.
The teams were also challenged with tasks en route such as building sand castles and paragliding.
Cath Bracegirlde, franchise in Matlock said: “We camped on one of the nights. We pitched our tent beside Lake Thun in Switzerland and sitting beside the shore in the sun looking at the snow-capped mountains was just magical.
“It’s been an exhilarating, hilarious weekend and I’m so proud having raised money for much-needed charities.”
Co-founder Paul Harrison also commented: “We’re so proud to have sponsored this year’s Travel Trade Crusade. Our franchisees may not have a background in travel but they are truly passionate about travel and that’s what counts. They truly threw themselves into this event to raise money for charity. The spirit of this event is right up our street.”
This is the fifth Travel Trade Crusade that The Travel Franchise has embarked on to raise money for charity.
