Communities in Reading and Wokingham can now receive personalised home care from new Walfinch business owner, Ghizlane Tadili.

Walfinch home care services will be expanded to Reading and Wokingham following investment from Ghizlane Tadili, the new owner of the branch.

The expansion is a result of Walfinch’s extensive support system and the flexibility of self-employment, which ultimately attracted Ghizlane to franchising in the care sector.

The new owner said: “At Walfinch our philosophy includes delivering care that passes ‘The Mum Test’ – that’s care you would want for your own mum. People needing care, and their families, want a bespoke high-quality service, which is what we aim to provide.

“As a mum of two school-aged daughters myself, I understand what sensitive, personalised care means in practice.”

Ghizlane and the Walfinch Reading and Wokingham team plan to deliver a range of care to suit whatever their client and family members require. This includes companionship, personal care, respite care designed to give informal carers such as family and friends a break, care after hospital discharge, help with shopping, and summer days out.

“I am very selective about the staff I take on, and I ensure they are personally trained by myself and Jo, here in our office, where we have all the resources and equipment required,” said Ghizlane.

“Our home care calls are at least one hour long, to ensure we provide the right kind of person-centred care and companionship that people deserve, and our care services are always designed around the wishes and needs of the client, so they are fully bespoke.”

Ghizlane has also begun taking steps to make herself known at local community and charity events. She recently oversaw a stall at the Wokingham and District Association for the Elderly (WADE) Day Care Centre Summer Fair. At the event, Ghizlane gave away gifts and ran a tombola which raised £250 for the charity.

The Walfinch franchisee was also involved with WADE’s Coronation celebration in the day care centre’s garden, in which her care team helped clients as they enjoyed the day. Ghizlane has also sponsored a hole at a charity golf event, as well as offered free bottles of water and provided plaques to the winning golfers.

Debra Pahalka, manager at Wokingham and District Association for the Elderly (WADE) Day Care Centre said: “We appreciate working with Ghizlane, and her team and will be delighted to work with them again in the future.

“We also visited a hospital day care centre in Wokingham earlier this year where we handed out baskets of Easter gifts to clients.”
