How does the Engino franchise model work?

The brand has three types of franchise offerings.

• Engino Mega Store
The Mega Store is every young inventor’s paradise; an inviting and fun retail experience where visitors can choose from Engino’s full range of sets to purchase. Stacked high with exciting products and the latest sets, the Mega Store is an inviting and creative space for everyone aged three and above. It will include the full experience – a retail area, demonstration zone, classrooms, a play area, maker space, café and a workshop area for drop-off sessions and summer camp programmes.

The store will be approximately 350 sq m and will be well suited to a large regional shopping centre.

• Engino City Store
The City Store model is similar to the Mega Store model but on a smaller scale. It is the perfect space for young inventors to shop, play and learn. At approximately 125 sq m, the City Store would be perfectly suited in a retail park or situated near local community centres and schools.

It is on a smaller scale than the Mega Store without some facilities but packed full of exciting products, sets and experiences. The City Store will have the main features needed for a multi-income model with a retail area, demonstration zone, classrooms, maker space and workshop areas for drop-off sessions and summer camp programmes, with space for more as you grow.

• Engino Educator
The Educator model is a versatile opportunity that can be adapted to suit the needs of different groups looking to explore the very best in STEM learning. The centre will provide the ideal conditions for young inventors to learn, grow and engage with Engino and is designed to accommodate the full curriculum, allowing for a smaller retail and demonstration area but with a dedicated classroom, maker space, and workshop area.

Educators can hire classroom space to host events, parties and Engino sessions. The Educator centre will be approximately 100 sq m and will be well suited to a local community centre, close to schools.

What kind of support and training can franchisees benefit from?

Engino has compiled a comprehensive training programme which covers all aspects of the business. You will also receive ongoing support and training when needed. As part of your franchise fee, it will fly you out to Cyprus to train at its HQ and the Engino team will visit your location too.

How much does a franchise cost?

The minimum investment required is £20,000. Breakeven time can be expected between six months and one year. Single-unit, multi-unit and master franchise opportunities are available.

There are different types of income streams available when investing in the Engino franchise, as listed below.
• Educational courses - Provide a range of educational courses suitable for different age groups. Workshops are varied and children will be provided with a full library of equipment to use and build with. This is both on a membership model and a pay-as-you-play model.

• Instore retail – All Engino products will be stocked in your store with some of its models on display inside, encouraging upselling opportunities.

• Online retail – You can earn from orders placed in your territory from the online shop.

• Parties - Host activities in your Engino store or visit your customers in a location of their choice! Each guest will be provided with party goodies.

Extra income streams include member cards and food and beverage sales. There are plenty of opportunities to maximise your earnings and reach your potential as an Engino franchisee.

What locations or territories is Engino looking to operate in?

Engino is currently looking to take the brand global and is confident that it will be able to do so with its amazing educational toys.

What are the franchise terms of agreement and renewal?

The initial term of the franchise agreement is five years from the commencement date.

The franchisee may, in writing to Engino, between six months and nine months before the end of the initial term or any subsequent renewed term, request that the agreement be renewed for a period of five years after the end of the initial or renewed term.

Engino, in writing to the franchisee, will be given not less than four months before the end of the initial term, to accept a renewal of the agreement, on the condition that the franchisee has paid a renewal fee of £1,000-plus VAT in the three months before the end of the initial or renewed term.
