About Smoke & Pepper
Smoke & Pepper was developed from a busy family kitchen with a desire to serve high quality comfort food at an affordable price. The new burger joint has now turned into a raved-about restaurant in the heart of Leyton.
Days and nights were spent tasting recipes and sourcing ingredients to find the perfect burger, securing the brand’s love for grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef. It now uses freshly ground 100% dry aged beef to craft its burgers. From the beginning the brand has attracted social foodies from across Instagram and TikTok. The success has continued since opening in Leyton in 2022 and the brand now plans to have a newly curated hybrid takeaway-meets-restaurant location within the popular Bow arches in 2024.
The journey is a personal one. The co-founder’s commitment runs deep, fostering connections with local farmers for responsibly sourced ingredients. The franchise vision is about realising dreams. The co-founders say they would love to guide aspiring entrepreneurs who share their passion.
How does the Smoke & Pepper franchise model work?
Smoke & Pepper commenced trading in 2021 and can evidence sales and profits. The franchise has four formats, creating flexibility of cost, location, and investment level. It also has three menu pricing formats to cover every area in the UK, regardless of affluence, ethnicity, or age. The business aims to be an inclusive franchise that can appeal to anyone and everyone.
A Smoke & Pepper store aims to trade in diverse locations including large cities with the flagship model; travel terminals, tourist locations, shopping malls with the kiosk model; as well as small, medium, and larger towns.
Food is freshly cooked to order, decors are new and refreshed, and the atmosphere aims to be one customers won’t want to leave. As a potential incoming franchisee, the business promises you will always see transparency from the brand, especially when it makes you aware of its sales and profit figures.
What type of franchisee is Smoke & Pepper looking for?
There are no specific qualifications or experience necessary. Whether you’re a seasoned Food and Beverage veteran, or a novice, this franchise is designed to cater for both. While being extremely simple to operate, the brand’s operations manual will mean you’re never completely without support.
Smoke & Pepper look for franchisees that truly buy into the drive for customer satisfaction, be that in the restaurant or kitchen, or out on the road with the delivery team.
The franchise is also keen to talk with franchisees that understand how to grow sales by optimising your exclusive territory and being the voice of the brand in your local area. Not waiting for customers to come to the location, an excellent franchisee will want to seek out opportunities to bring the brand to the people. The business would also like you to be so satisfied with head office’s support that you may be interested in investing in another location.
Training and support
Smoke & Pepper take pride in offering a comprehensive training programme to franchisees, ensuring they embark on their entrepreneurial journey with the knowledge and expertise needed for success. The training programme spans a duration of up to four weeks, encompassing a curriculum designed to equip franchisees with the skills necessary to operate a Smoke & Pepper establishment effectively.
A crucial component of this training is live location sessions, where franchisees gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. Post-launch, Smoke & Pepper remains committed to the ongoing success of franchisees. The business aims for support to extend beyond the initial training period, and the brand’s interactive portal serves as a hub for all your ongoing needs.
