The gym franchise has combined the nation’s love of smartphones with an innovative new offering.
Anytime Coaching is a smartphone-based, remote personal training service that provides an affordable alternative to traditional personal training options.
Still including face to face time with an in-club personal trainer, it allows personal trainers to communicate with their clients via a built in messaging platform to share bespoke workouts, set goals, track daily steps and keep in touch via direct messages, all securely housed within the Anytime Fitness iOS and Android app.
With this level of interaction, it reduces the need for physical, in person coaching, allowing personal trainers to coach their clients even when they are unable to visit an Anytime Fitness club.
Marvin Burton, Anytime Fitness head of product and an experienced personal trainer, says: “Even regular gym visitors who go upwards of three times a week are only spending five per cent of their weekly time in the gym, so this provides a way for our clubs and personal trainers to impact our members’ lives in the remaining 95 per cent.
“As a personal trainer myself, I appreciate the barriers that prevent people from getting one and I believe it’s a great update to the personal training model in the UK.
“It provides an affordable and accessible way to receive expert tuition and get the guidance you need to achieve your goals.”
After receiving a workout from their personal trainer, clients can log their session within the Anytime Workouts app for the trainer to review and appraise.
If they’re not hitting their targets or progressing as expected, Anytime Coaching allows their trainer to review their goals and send them messages of encouragement.
