Support, financial success, and altruism are among the main reasons why the homecare franchise has continued to grow
The Caremark franchise has grown to 140 locations across the UK and Ireland, after nearly two decades of operation. This means more than 8000 customers are currently receiving care from the brand on a daily basis, with a huge variety of services on offer.
These services have been powered by the 140 entrepreneurs who have chosen to invest in Caremark, with their reasons for doing so differing. They include support and training, access to a proven business model, lower risks, strong financial returns, and altruism by improving the lives of others.
Here, franchisees reflect on why the Caremark was the right business investment for them.
End-to-end guidance
Franchising is an appealing business model for many due to the safety net it can provide business owners through its support network.
Caremark has been cultivating tailored guidance for its franchisees over the past 19 years, aiming to help them mitigate risks and capitalise on business opportunities. It currently achieves this via its dedicated Franchise Support Centre.
New business owners are enrolled on a nine-month, high-performance leaders programme accredited by the Institute of Leaders, which aims to set them up for success from day one. Plus, the ratio of Caremark head office support staff to franchisees is concentrated, which ensures ongoing support is bespoke, regular, and responsive.
“The support is exceptional,” says Dev Amin, owner of Caremark Surrey and Rushmoor. “I have been getting constant support from the team as and when needed, both ongoing and daily interactions, particularly from the rostering team and my Regional Support Manager.”
Six-figure possibilities
Those who invest in the Caremark franchise have the potential to make strong financial returns. There are currently multiple franchisees who have achieved multi-million-pound turnovers, with the brand’s top five businesses generating between £3 million and £9 million annually.
“Watching the bank account grow is just a fantastic feeling,” confirms Rob Johnstone, owner of Caremark Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. “Anyone that doesn’t tell you that, shouldn’t be running their own business.”
Giving back to the community
Many Caremark franchisees have also found satisfaction in helping others via its services – a fulfilment that goes beyond financial gains.
“Doing great work in your community while running your own profitable business ticks all the boxes,” says Barney Davis, owner of Caremark Warwick. “I’ve not got a single regret. I’m really glad I went with Caremark. It’s been a remarkable journey.”
