To make the digital awards night special, The Best Magic Mirrors franchise setup its Virtual Photobooth and Memory Mosaic
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards went virtual for the first time in its history on November 30.
Chris Goodchild, franchisor of The Best Magic Mirrors and recently accredited bfa member, was called on to work his magic with the brand’s Virtual Photobooth and Memory Mosaic.
To make the digital awards night special, attendees were treated to the option of putting on fun digital props while enjoying taking part in animated boomerangs provided; all from the comfort of their own homes.
This was then streamed live during the awards evening, with an attendee saying: “It brought a real feeling of togetherness to the evening’s proceedings.”
Home Instead Senior Care was named Gold Franchisor of the Year while Revive! Auto Innovations took the silver award and another automotive franchise, Snap-on Tools, was awarded bronze.
Amongst the uncertainty in the events and entertainment industry, Goodchild pivoted his events company earlier this year to secure its first franchisee. Goodchild said: “When the COVID-19 restrictions came into force, I recognised that this could be an opportunity to focus on the growth of the company.
“I have been working closely with Pip Wilkins, CEO of the bfa and her team to become the first Band 0 member. Consequently, we now have our first Windsor-based franchisee on board – it’s an incredible feeling of success against the odds.”
