The new Burger & Sauce will take over part of the former Burger King site and will be run by franchisee Subhan Munir
Burger & Sauce has announced its latest location at Derby’s best-loved retail and leisure destination, Derbion.
The franchised fresh burger chain has secured a site in the high-profile shopping centre in the food court, which is currently being refurbished with more than £2m investment. Work on the food terrace is anticipated to be completed this autumn, with Burger & Sauce opening before the end of the year.
Saad Masood, who successfully founded Burger & Sauce during the height of the pandemic, said: “Derbion is a huge centre which offers a unique shopping experience and Burger & Sauce will now join around 200 major brands represented. It’s such a sought-after location and we are super excited about securing this prestigious site so early on in our franchised journey!
“For Burger & Sauce, this will become another flagship store following some of our openings in prominent locations such as the Bull Ring and Castle Vale both in Birmingham, in the past two years.”
The new Burger & Sauce will take over part of the former Burger King site and will be run by franchisee Subhan Munir who also manages Alum Rock in Birmingham and the recently opened Burger & Sauce in Nottingham.
Burger & Sauce’s fresh burgers will be served up from the 600 square foot kiosk, with customers invited to enjoy their meal in the communal area of the food terrace currently being expanded to seat 800 people, with delivery options also available.
Adam Tamsett, centre director at Derbion, added: “With the £2m refurbishment of the food terrace well underway, we’re delighted to announce that Burger & Sauce will join the existing line-up and bring a whole new atmosphere to dining at Derbion.
“We’re always on the lookout for new brands and experiences that our customers will enjoy, and we’re excited to be able to welcome Burger & Sauce to our refreshed Food Terrace later this year.”
