Oriflame is to invest heavily in Ireland following Avon’s decision to withdraw from the Republic.

The Swedish beauty company, which has been present in Ireland since 1972, has expanded at a rate of 40 per cent over the past 12 months and hopes to create nearly 2,000 new jobs over the next two years, taking its consultant numbers to 5,000.

It is keen to recruit across the Republic and has numerous part time and trainee manager opportunities available.

Oriflame is kicking off a national recruitment road show on April 17 in Limerick and is urging anyone interested in finding supplementary or part time work to attend.

In addition to learning about the products, earning and career opportunities with Oriflame, attendees will also receive a free Oriflame mascara in order to sample the products for themselves.

“This week’s announcement by Avon will leave many people without a job,” says Yvonne Flavin, Oriflame regional manager for Eire.

“We’re appealing to those affected to consider Oriflame.

“With there being no fee to join and no minimum order cost, they could effectively start tomorrow with minimum disruption.”

Oriflame consultants are self employed and control their own working hours and income. Along with the flexibility, it is a risk free way for individuals to build their own business whilst receiving free and highly specialised support.
