Lisa Tobias, who employs over 200 staff, scoops major award for Scottish businesswomen
She won the Outstanding Contribution to Business category at the annual Association of Scottish Businesswomen Awards, held at the Macdonald Highland Hotel in Aviemore. Aged 30, she currently owns six Domino’s Pizza stores in Scotland. Tobias is also a regular speaker at national franchising events and is an ambassador for the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust and Enterprise Insight’s Girls! Make Your Mark scheme.
“Gaining recognition from other successful businesswomen is fantastic and shows what you can achieve when you put your mind to it,” she says. “I’m really passionate about what I do and with the fantastic teams in each of my stores behind me, together with the support of my husband Graeme and my family, I’m very excited to continue to grow our business together.”
Andy Hirst, head of franchise development at Domino’s, adds: “Lisa is Domino’s youngest and most successful female franchisee in the UK and winning this award is fantastic recognition of her hard work and achievements to date.
“Lisa’s success shows how women in the industry are managing to mix true professional entrepreneurial spirit with a happy and fulfilling family life. We’re delighted to see Lisa progress as a confident, successful businesswoman and hope she continues to inspire others by her continued hard work and determination.”
