Dream Doors, the UK’s largest franchised kitchen door replacement company, has opened its new flagship showroom in Waterlooville.
The Mayor of Havant, Councillor Jackie Branson, cut the ribbon at the official opening of the outlet. Said Cllr Branson: “I think it’s fantastic that Dream Doors has got confidence in the borough of Havant and Waterlooville. The area needs new businesses to open in this recession, and it’s wonderful that Dream Doors have launched at this time.”
Situated opposite the town’s thriving Friday market, the showroom attracted dozens of customers keen to see some of the company’s best-selling kitchen facelifts. Visitors were also able to help themselves to free food and champagne, served in style from the centrepiece of the showroom - an enormous kitchen island unit.
Said Kelly Chambers, Dream Doors’ operations director: “There’s been so much interest in the new showroom that we’ve given away more than 250 brochures in the last three days, and we weren’t even open. People were knocking at the door wanting to know what was going on, and that’s made us very confident that we’ll secure market share in the area.”
With 30 showrooms throughout the UK, the continued expansion of the Hampshire-based company flies in the face of the economic downturn. Said Troy Tappenden, Dream Doors’ founder and managing director: “Since we opened our first local showroom almost a decade ago, we have launched many more franchised outlets, and each one has been better than the last. I’m very proud to have opened our third showroom in Hampshire, which is now the biggest and best in the network. This is exactly what we needed to do in tough times - to raise the bar even higher, set the standard for the whole brand and show potential franchisees what Dream Doors is capable of.”
