Ed’s Easy Diner is to franchise its popular American-style restaurant concept to mark 20 years in the trade.
The company has partnered with Lanbury Associates for the proposed roll-out. Lanbury is a highly experienced firm of consultants with international expertise in franchising and has worked with leading franchise operators such as Ask, Zizzi, Domino’s Pizza and The Body Shop.
Says Tim Bennett, Operations Director at Ed’s Easy Diner: “Ed’s Easy Diner has always been very much a family business - in fact, many of our staff have been with us since the beginning, making them part of the family too.
“And since Ed’s Easy Diner is as popular as ever, we felt the time was right to open the doors to suitable candidates both in the UK and internationally.”
Franchisees will take part in a six-week training programme, which covers all aspects of the business. They will be required to try their hands at everything, from waiting tables to forecasting, to ensure they can effectively run their own unit. Access to Ed’s Easy Diner’s suppliers is also part of the franchise package.
