Now in his fourth year as a Kare Plus franchisee, Gordon has established his business as a reliable provider of high quality home care services and a staffing provider for local health care establishments.
He supports his staff through a number of initiatives, including nominating a carer of the month, organising regular in-house training and providing a staff-only resting area.
He says: “Having spent a number of years managing and building businesses for other people, Kare Plus has given me the platform to grow my own business.
“My focus is on making it easy for staff to stay, but difficult for them to leave.”
Gordon’s win means he will go through to the final of the Great British Care Awards at Birmingham’s ICC on March 20.
