Paul Lewis to head up Pitman Training and School is Easy brands in UK and Europe
International education-technology franchisor LaunchLife has announced Paul Lewis as the new managing director of its Pitman Training and School is Easy businesses in the UK and Europe.
Paul will oversee the growth strategy for Pitman Training and has been tasked with establishing and expanding the School is Easy brand in the UK and Europe.
Before joining LaunchLife, he was operations director and country director UK at Expense Reduction Analysts.
Paul’s also been chairperson of the British Franchise Association’s south east forum.
He says: “I’m delighted to be joining the business at this very exciting time.
“2020 has been a really challenging year for all of us, but this has created the perfect storm for our group of companies. Not only is it an amazing time to become a franchisee, we are already seeing an increase in demand for our products and services.
“Throughout the lockdown period, people have taken the opportunity to seek out training and learn new skills to take control of their future, which is great news for Pitman Training.
“Similarly, as a result of recent events the demand for private tutoring and home schooling has increased exponentially.
“Pitman Training has a great existing network, but we are keen to bring in more franchisees and have a number of resale opportunities available.
“School is Easy is virtually brand new to the UK and Europe, so we are attracting franchisees now for the UK.”
Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, LaunchLife says its mission is to improve the lives of learners from early childhood education through to employment.
It acquired Pitman Training in 2018. The company, which has been a franchised business since 1992, was established over 180 years ago. Its 70-plus training centres deliver training and new skills to help people improve their careers and secure the jobs they want.
Already established in Canada and North America, School is Easy specialises in providing private tutoring to school age children, supported by a state-of-the-art learning management system.
