Blaby is now the fifth Papa John’s in Leicestershire
The local community of Blaby district in central Leicestershire, some five miles south of Leicester city centre, will now be able to enjoy a taste of Papa John’s as the pizza franchise unveiled its latest store in the region. Run by franchisees, Sukhy and Kam Bains, Blaby is now the fifth Papa John’s in Leicestershire.
Amit Pancholi, director of business development at Papa John’s UK, confirms: “I live nearby and so I’m super excited Papa John’s can now be the pizza brand of choice in south Leicestershire! Sukhy and Kam have worked incredibly hard; backed up by the whole Papa John’s team and they have all the right ingredients to continue the successful expansion of their portfolio of stores.”
Sukhy, who also lives in Leicestershire, says: “We run multiple stores across the Midlands and being able to bring Papa John’s to even more customers to enjoy is all part of the fun. To be able to do it in our hometown of Leicester is a dream come true!
“The great thing about pizza is it suits any occasion: a celebration, party or simply sharing a meal at home with friends or family.”
Sukhy joined Papa John’s in 2011. “At the time, the credit crunch hit, and we wanted to do something totally different to bring home the dough!” she explains. “Over the years, as franchisees, our team have been trained and supported by Papa John’s and the people behind the brand are what makes the franchise a recipe for success. We’ve gone from strength to strength and haven’t looked back.”
Amit continues: “As Papa John’s continues to grow in the UK, we have opportunities for multi-unit franchisees to open new high street stores. In addition, we are developing relationships with ‘non-traditional’ operators such as sports stadiums, resorts, parks and other leisure venues who are hungry to add a quality hot food offering to their existing proposition.”
