The award-winning franchisor of home service brands has appointed Philip Carr as its new UK managing director
With immediate effect, Jeff Meyers, vice-president of international operations for the past seven years, will hand over the reins to Philip Carr, who will be responsible for both managing the business and supporting the growth and expansion of the six brands across the UK.
Neighborly owns the Aire Serv, Bright & Beautiful, Countrywide Grounds Maintenance, Drain Doctor, Mr. Electric and Dream Doors brands, and has over 250 franchisees across the UK.
Earlier this year, Neigborly was named the Best Property & Home Maintenance Franchise at our sister publication’s Global Franchise Awards 2019.
Carr said, “I am excited with my new appointment at Neighbourly and intend to build on our dominant position as a leader in services, helping people to repair, maintain and enhance their homes and businesses.
“I can see how much potential there is to strengthen and grow our portfolio of brands in the UK and establish new strategic partnerships to help us maximise the breadth and value of our franchise opportunities. I’m looking forward to leading and extending our network further, and to contribute even more towards the continuing profitable growth of Neighborly globally.”
Meyers will continue to head Neighbourly during this transition period of six to nine months, before finally transferring departments and the brands over to Carr.
He said: “It’s always been Neighborly’s and my desire to have strong local leadership in the UK, and we’ve definitely got that in Philip. The UK will always be special to me and I’m really proud of everything we have built, but it’s time for me to hand direction to someone who has real roots here.”
Meyers will take on other international projects, continue to head up Neighbourly’s operations in Germany and Austria and will remain a vital conduit for the UK. He will return to Neighborly’s global headquarters in Waco, Texas.
