Milton Keynes-based Papa John’s opens new store at the home of MK Dons Football Club
As well as delivering to local residents seven days a week, Papa John’s will also be serving up freshly-cooked pizzas to MK Dons supporters from a dedicated Papa John’s kiosk inside the stadium, once fans are permitted to attend football matches, concerts and other events once again.
The agreement will see Papa John’s continue to partner up with the club’s social media channels, as well as remain sponsor of the Papa John’s Goal of the Month Award.
Papa John’s will also receive substantial branding around Stadium MK.
Chairman Pete Winkelman said: “This exciting partnership with Papa John’s - one of the world’s leading pizza franchises and one local to Milton Keynes - will only add to the Stadium MK experience once our supporters are allowed to return home.”
Justin Gilbert, director of business development at Papa John’s UK confirmed: “It’s a win-win situation, as everyone loves football and pizza so teaming-up makes perfect sense! Milton Keynes is where our QCC and fresh dough manufacturing base is located, and we have always been keen to support local community activities in the area.
“As well as the kiosk and new store at the stadium, our goal was to strike a deal between MK Dons and Papa John’s to provide significant investment for the football club and we are delighted to have kicked this off in fine style.”
Papa John’s franchisee Rav Singh, who also runs three other Papa John’s outlets in Milton Keynes, will manage the new store and kiosk with the help of his team.
Rav said: “Pizza works anywhere and adding the new store at the stadium shows how Papa John’s can adopt a flexible approach to suit our valued customers. We are now literally where the action is!”
