Sandstone Yoga and Pilates’ first franchisee will open for business in February in Sutton in the Midlands.
The British Franchise Association provisional member was founded by senior yoga teacher Michelle Nicklin in 2013.
Michelle says: “The time is right for yoga - it’s always been big business in London, but the rest of the country is catching on now.
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence in the current uncertain climate that people want something more nurturing than an anonymous, soulless exercise class.
“The Sandstone brand is about authentic yoga and the bringing together of a local yoga community, which will be carried through with every franchise.
“Sandstone Yoga provides a holistic, supportive experience and yogis all over the UK will be able to come to our studios knowing exactly what they’re getting.”
Michelle’s original business turns over £300,000 and has 5,000 registered clients.
The franchise costs £10,000 (plus VAT) and includes start-up support, a tried and tested class schedule model, marketing and branding assistance, expert mentoring and a detailed operations manual covering every aspect of the business.
