The sandwich franchise’s new store has been opened in partnership with catering company Amadeus, which has invested £140,000 in the outlet.
Amadeus has over 40 years’ experience in the catering industry.
It delivers catering solutions to around four million visitors per year at the NEC Group venues, including the NEC, ICC, Genting Arena, Arena Birmingham and Vox Conference Centre.
Craig Hancox, general manager for Amadeus at the ICC, says: “Subway as a brand appealed to Amadeus due to its commitment to responsible, sustainable sourcing and the fact absolutely everything is cooked and prepared fresh on site.”
Through its partnerships with companies like Amadeus, Subway now has more than 800 stores in what it calls ‘non-traditional locations’ in the UK and Ireland, including hospitals, transport hubs, universities and colleges, petrol forecourts and convenience stores.
In total, it has around 2,500 stores in the UK and Ireland and over 43,000 stores worldwide.
