The franchise recruitment team of Britain’s leading off-licence chain is celebrating the first birthday of the company’s unique scheme.
Launched to the public just 12 months ago and already one of the biggest retail franchises in the UK, Thresher Group Franchise’s first anniversary also coincides with the launch of its 50th franchise.
Offering only existing and established stores for franchise, more than 6,000 franchisees have contacted the company for more information.
Fyl Newington, Head of Franchise Development, attributes the scheme’s success to the value it represents: “Franchisees invest just £20,000, plus stock costs, and for that we offer not only an established, solid customer base, but also the backing of a market-leading national brand with £500 million purchasing power and more than 100 years’ drinks retailing experience.”
Sam Maddison is the company’s 50th franchisee. One of an increasing number of franchisees wanting to invest in multiple franchises from the drinks retailer, Maddison aims to have franchised nine Thresher stores on the south coast before the end of this year.
Says Maddison: “I’ve run my own businesses before so I know how hard it can be to get up and running, but Threshers offered me the chance to take on ready-made businesses and that was a large part of the appeal.”
