About PerCurra
PerCurra was established in Nottingham in 2008 by Gill Heppell, an experienced nurse and businesswoman. Her aim was to create a company that supplied support to clients in their homes so that they could continue to live at home and as independently as possible.
As a home care business, the company places emphasis on reliability, passion, excellence and focus in those who provide services on its behalf. These values, an emphasis on outcomes, and innovation are what Per Curra believe set them apart from other home care agencies and have resulted in the company winning several Chamber of Commerce Business and the Great British Care Awards.
Care is provided to customers in their own homes when they want it, and the company endeavours to provide carers that clients trust and like so that a relationship can be built. Customers have the option to chose times, duration, frequency, and carer in order to meet their unique needs.
The services offered by PerCurra
The overall objective of Per Curra and its franchisees is to change lives everyday by delivering home care services that enable clients to live their life their way. To this end the company offers:
Daily Living Support: assistance with everyday tasks such as washing and ironing, cleaning, shopping, cooking, screening calls and visitors, collecting prescriptions, and caring for pets.
Personal Care: sensitive and discreet assistance with day-to-day personal activities such as bathing, personal grooming, dressing, feeding, incontinence care, and care for those convalescing or suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Learning Disability Support: the objective is to build independence and self-confidence through outings, holidays, group activities, companionship, and personal care services.
Live-in Support: this service is for those who require 24-hour care or feel insecure or anxious on their own. The range of services is the same as with daily living support but are provided be a live-in carer.
Hospital-to-home Support: the aim is to ease the return home by visiting the client pre-discharge, paying bills, light housework, companionship and support after discharge, collecting and dispensing medication, shopping, and food preparation.
Respite Care: a trained carer will step in when the regular carer needs some time to rest and relax.
Holidays: help with finding a suitable destination and the right mode of travel and accommodation and – if necessary – company from one of the PerCurra carers while the client is away.
While these are the standard services, each client is unique and therefore specific services can be designed around their needs.
