Paul Newman’s first full year as a Cafe2U franchise partner was full of ‘pinch yourself’ moments
Paul Newman of Cafe2U Rochester has an exciting first year as one of the company’s franchise partners to look back on. He joined Cafe2U at the end of 2011 following 30 years working for McDonald’s.
“I chose a Cafe2U franchise opportunity because I liked the way they came across,” says Paul. “They didn’t back down with their answers when I was keen to ask them a lot of questions. I was shown around a van and was able to contact a current franchise partner to talk over any other queries I had.”

With over 150 franchisees worldwide, Cafe2U is the world’s largest mobile coffee franchise system, delivering fresh espresso coffee and great food to people in non traditional locations such as workplaces, events and functions.
Cafe2U’s mobile coffee service means that Paul has not only had the opportunity to provide hot beverages to customers in business parks or at local events, but also at work locations such as the film sets of popular TV programmes. Paul has been on hand to serve the crew and cast of popular BBC1 programme Call the Midwife, which is filmed in Chatham’s Historic Dockyard. He has also provided his fantastic coffee to the cast and crew of Mr Selfridge.
“It was exciting to meet some of the stars of the shows,” says Paul. “It really was a pinch yourself moment. I have enjoyed my first year. There has been some hard work involved, but now the foundation for my business is laid and I am confident about the future. I am looking forward to a great 2013.”
