The travel agency franchise welcomed 95 trainees onto a Virgin Voyages cruise to deliver workshops combined with in-person experience
Some 95 franchisees from The Travel Franchise have boarded Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady to sail around the Mediterranean as part of a training programme.
The trip was led by co-founder of the franchise, Paul Harrison, and was designed to educate franchisees on the latest trends and opportunities in the cruise industry.
It is the fourth cruise organised for franchisees as part of its ‘Seminar at Sea’ initiative.
The cruise industry has been a major focus for The Travel Franchise, since setting up the business’ cruise division in 2022 – in response to demand becoming one of the fastest growing in the sector.
In 2023, 31.7 million passengers took a cruise, with that figure projected to rise to 35.7 million in 2024, according to Cruise Lines International Association.
For franchisees, selling these holidays can return the highest commission. However, the opportunity to earn more comes with additional considerations such as knowledge of cabins, cruise routes, and regional regulations.
The intensive workshops during The Travel Franchise’s trip were designed to prepare franchisees to sell successfully while providing consumers with a knowledgeable experience.
Harrison said: “Our Seminar at Sea is always hosted by one of our incredible key trade cruise partners and is our ultimate investment in people; we pay for our consultants to open their eyes to the endless possibilities within the cruise market and the results are incredible.”
