Pioneering franchise company takes Best Business Serving Football prize
Little Kickers, which arranges fun, football themed classes for children aged 18 months to seven years, has won the Best Business Serving Football prize at the Football Business Awards.
It’s the first time the company has picked up an award from the wider football fraternity, as until now Little Kickers’ accolades have come primarily from the franchise and business communities.
Little Kickers founder Christine Kelly says: “As anyone who knows anything about Little Kickers will appreciate, we’re not a preschool talent academy in disguise, but a pioneering fun-based, shared learning football programme for preschool children that’s been treading the boards since 2002 and enjoys a reach that now extends to 33 different countries, activating some 70,000-plus children a week.
“Our simple, single-minded mission goal from day one has been to create a range of involving and evolving activity-based initiatives for inquisitive preschoolers to stimulate young minds and foster a long-lasting appreciation of sports-based activities.
“That said, football is the medium by which we communicate our vision, so to be recognised by Football Business is quite simply beyond the dreams of a blossoming business that first opened its doors back in Clapham some 19 years ago.”
