Learn from the UK’s best franchisors at The Best Franchise Conference 2017
On November 30 over 120 franchise professionals will come together to share best practice at The Best Franchise Conference 2017, which takes place at the Milton Keynes Hilton.
The event organiser, smith+henderson, has teamed up with Making Money magazine as its official media partner and Lloyds Bank as lead sponsor to make the conference a must attend event for any franchisor looking for ideas to better support its franchise network and improve overall performance.
Strong line-up
Steven Frost, CEO of smith+henderson, says: “This year’s speaker line-up is one of our strongest yet - it’s packed with award winning franchisors and industry thought leaders sharing their decades of experience, proven strategies and actionable ideas to help others build even stronger franchise networks.”
The conference will kick off with Nigel Dawson, UK franchising manager at Dyno British Gas, explaining how to change franchisees’ mindsets and help them break limiting beliefs.
Next, Karl Sandall, CEO of TaxAssist Accountants, will talk about how he helped reinvigorate its franchise network by adopting a shop front strategy, which paved its way to become an international success story.
With two conference tracks, attendees can choose to attend the sessions that will benefit them the most.
Alongside 20-person roundtable Best Practice Exchanges facilitated by Franchise Resales and Coconut Creatives, Lee Dancy and Richard Dancy from Barking Mad will talk about keeping franchisees happy throughout a period of growth and change.
As part of a varied conference format, Graeme Payne, partner at Bird & Bird, will host a panel interview with Ken Deary, managing director of Right at Home, and Andy Knights, chief operating officer at Stagecoach.
Keynote speaker
They will be joined by keynote speaker, Marc Hogan.
Marc will bring a touch of comedy to this year’s event. He’s gone from an exsales and marketing professional with over 14 years’ experience to a stand-up comedian in less than nine months.
Marc fuses psychology, common sense and humour with real life business examples and tales from the comedy circuit to highlight what comedy taught him about business and what business taught him about comedy.
Sarah Cressall, founder of The Creation Station, attended The 2016 Best Franchise Conference. She says: “The conference provides a valuable insight to great ways to develop and improve your franchise business.
“There’s great networking and a wonderful friendly atmosphere.” At the end of the conference, the winners of the 2017 Best Franchise Awards will be announced.
What makes these awards unique is they’re based on feedback from thousands of actual franchisees, who complete smith+henderson’s confidential Franchise Satisfaction Survey.
