Beginning life as a small family run business in 2002, Hallows Care is now one of the largest home care providers in the UK, while retaining its personal, family feeling. From the early days as ‘The Vale Care Company’, the co-founders of Hallows Care operated their business by prioritising close relationships with both clients and staff. Hallows Care has since grown, rebranded, reorganised and become an effective, efficient care provider while retaining the friendly, approachable atmosphere that made it successful from the start.

Working closely with their staff and clients provided the Hallows Care team with insights into the real needs of people living independently with care support, and allowed them to develop their service before bringing it to market.

Offering the highest levels of care and real assistance to people requiring some support to live independently, Hallows Care provides domiciliary care and services to both private clients and those funded by Social Services. Experts in providing care to those who need it most, Hallows Care supports clients with personal care, daily tasks, medication, meal preparation and even social visits.

How does a Hallows Care franchise work?

Following the tried and test Hallows Care business model, franchisees are given licensing rights to operate under the Hallows Care brand for the duration of the agreement. They are provided with ongoing support through the specially developed ‘Franchise Support Centre’, which covers everything from day to day operations and business development to sharing their extensive knowledge and experience of regulatory standards and updated legislation, as well as monitoring franchisees for adherence to quality systems and procedures.

The Hallows Care franchise agreement has a five year term, and automatically renews at the end of that period. Extra territories may also be purchased at an agreed time.

How much does a Hallows Care franchise cost?

The initial Hallows Care franchise fee is £39,950 + VAT, with around £70,000 required to cover initial start up costs and working capital. The total Hallows Care franchise cost is therefore approximately £118,000, along with an ongoing monthly Management Services Fee of five per cent of total turnover + VAT.

Continued training is also available throughout the term of the franchise.

Do Hallows Care franchisees need experience in the care sector?

No, a care background isn’t necessary as full training will be provided for both the franchisee and their social care workers. Instead, Hallows Care franchisees should have the desire to run their own successful business, a passion for people and care and plenty of time to invest in getting their franchise started. Where do Hallows Care clients come from?

Hallows care franchises can have two separate revenue streams – social services clients and private clients. Franchisees are given help and guidance in dealing with their local authority in order to gain social services referrals for elderly and mentally infirm people along with people with mental health, physical or learning disabilities.

At the same time, Hallows Care franchises can generate alternative revenue streams by offering various care services to private clients including those requiring personal care, domestic tasks, meal preparation and even simple treatments.

Each Hallows Care franchise must register with the Government Care Regulator for the relevant region, which can take up to 14 weeks to process. While the franchisee is responsible for achieving the final registration, Hallows Care will offer support, advice and guidance throughout the process.

How can I apply for a Hallows Care franchise?

After an initial conversation which will provide more information on Hallows Care franchise opportunities, interested parties are invited to meet the franchisor in person at a Discovery Day to discuss the opportunity in more detail along with available territories.
