Boogie Beat music & movement franchisee Zoe Young hasn’t looked back since leaving the corporate world
Zoe Young says she loves being part of the Boogie Beat music & movement franchise.
The Edinburgh and Stirling franchisee explains: “It’s a fantastic way to run your own business, with amazing support from head office. I’m able to run Boogie Beat around my family, while earning a good income at the same time.”
Alternative career
Zoe started researching franchises when she returned to a full-time corporate job and her son was a year old.
“I was finding it difficult to juggle working in a full-time job around my family and was looking for an alternative career,” she says. “Then I came across Boogie Beat music & movement.
“After a lot of researching and speaking to Nicky Attwood at head office, I decided to visit a Boogie Beat class. When I first attended a Boogie Beat session I instantly fell in love with the traditional stories and beautiful classical fairy tales that are structured around a dance and music concept.
“Not only are the classes fun and lively, they also create a lovely warm environment for children to learn key skills and express themselves at the same time.
“When looking for classes for my little boy to attend, I found that Boogie Beat ticks all the boxes - it’s high energy, exciting and teaches skills such as counting, sharing and hand/eye coordination, while helping to develop confidence.”
Zoe gets significant job satisfaction out of running her own business providing fun and educational classes for parents, carers and their children “It really is amazing and very fulfilling,” she says. “The training I received prior to starting my own classes and workshops was fantastic. The company is so supportive, encouraging and provides you with everything you need to start your own business.
“I left training feeling motivated, inspired and very excited to be a part of Boogie Beat music & movement.”
One year on
12 months after opening her franchise, Zoe says it was the best career move she ever made - business is thriving.
She adds: “I’m currently running up to 15 Boogie Beat classes and nursery and after-school workshops weekly, with regular parties almost every weekend.
“It has been an amazing year and I’ve never looked back since leaving my corporate job. I’m able to work my own full-time and flexible hours, while earning good money. I finally feel I have an excellent work and family life balance.
“I am now at the stage of recruiting for class teachers, so as to be able to expand my business even further. With hard work and determination, together with an amazing franchise package, you really can go far.
“There’s something for everyone - babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and primary school children up to age six. There’s so much scope for you to run and expand your business.
“The ladies at headquarters, Nicky and Lisa, run an excellent business. The ongoing support and comprehensive training package is fantastic and as a franchisee you are very well looked after.”
