Having secured a number of awards and marked 19 years in business, the franchise has much to celebrate as it looks to the future
The new year might be well underway, but it would be remiss not to reflect on the highlights of what was a successful 2024 for the Aspray franchise.
Among a series of achievements and milestones, the company earned the number 32 spot in the Elite Franchise Top 100 and celebrated receiving the prestigious 5-star franchisee satisfaction rating. The highlight of the year, though, came in June when, for the second consecutive year, Aspray was honoured as Loss Assessor of the Year 2024 at the renowned British Claims Awards In recognition of the dedication and hard work of its network. Aspray Founder and Managing Director, James Whittle (pictured above), had the privilege of accepting the award on behalf of the team.
Success at the BFA Awards
The awards didn’t end there for Aspray. Joe McGuigan, Aspray’s Glasgow North and South franchisee (pictured below), was honoured with the Business Builder Award at the BFA awards ceremony, which took place towards the end of 2024. This award celebrates exceptional individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and growth within their businesses.
Reflecting on the win, Joe said: “It’s an incredible honour just to be nominated, but winning is truly phenomenal. I owe this to my amazing team – I couldn’t have done it without them. After 24 years in franchising, being recognised by an organisation as prestigious as the BFA is both monumental and deeply humbling.”
Celebrating 19 years at the National Conference
June saw Aspray’s network gather at Aldwark Manor Estate in York for the franchise’s 2024 Annual Conference, a two-day event packed with expert speakers, engaging activities, and the esteemed franchise awards.
Industry leaders delivered insights on topics like franchise growth, sales strategies, and regulatory updates. Adrian Golifer from Create Solutions provided updates on FCA regulations, Rob Orme and Chris Hughes from Chantry Group shared tips on building franchise value, and Adrian Jolly from the British Damage Management Association (BDMA) highlighted the benefits of BDMA qualifications and industry trends.
A standout moment of the event was Lucas Whitehead from Aspray partner ANDYSMANCLUB, who took the stage to share both the charity’s impactful mission and his own personal journey. His heartfelt story showed the importance of mental health support for men across the country.
The event concluded with an awards evening, where Clive Hawkesley was named Franchisee of the Year for his dedication, outstanding performance, and remarkable business growth over the past year.
Looking ahead, 2025 will see Aspray marking its 20th anniversary, and the franchise has announced that for the first time, its celebration will take place abroad, in Malaga.
With the franchise determined to retain its focus on excellence in property claims management, innovation, and empowering its franchisees, Aspray looks well set to continue its growth into the future.
