Pets 2 Places requires franchisees to satisfy customer demand
The founder of a pet transportation service wants to recruit franchisees in the UK.
Claire Harris of Pets 2 Places, which she describes as the “world’s first pet taxi franchise”, has been serving her hometown of Milton Keynes since 2014.
The mum of three is now looking for people who are eager to start their own business using an established formula.
Claire says: “Initially, I set up the business to help transport pets for vets appointments, as I knew so many people who struggled to do so in this area.
“As I saw more clients and we discussed their needs, it was clear the services needed to expand to include the groomers, visits to friends with the dog and even on holiday.
“It was my customers who gave me the idea to franchise the business, as they had friends in other areas who could benefit from this service, but there was nothing available.”
Last year, Pets 2 Places won Best Pet Business at the Animal Star Awards in recognition of the service its provides to the local community.
Claire was also one of the f-entrepreneur top 100 in 2019 and won an Industry Leader accolade at the Women Leaders Awards.
“The awards and recognition across the industry and from the vets, groomers and kennels we support reflects the importance of this service,” Claire says.
“Pets 2 Places get calls daily from outside of Milton Keynes from customers needing the service on an ongoing basis, but we can’t help directly.
“Knowing the difference we make to the lives of our customers is so humbling and getting to work with animals every day is incredible.”
Pets 2 Places wants to recruit franchisees who love animals and enjoy helping people.
Individuals investing in the franchise will receive full training in all aspects of the business and ongoing support.
