Despite launching its first store during the challenges of the pandemic, the fast food chain’s first restaurant turned over £1.5m in year one, and the company is now looking to grow as a franchise
Franchise director Anthony Round has discussed Burger & Sauce‘s business model during the QSR Media UK Conference & Awards.
The event, which took place at the Waldorf Hilton, in London, saw Anthony take audiences on a trip down memory lane to when the franchise was first launched during the pandemic.
He said: “We were honoured to be chosen to join the People and Culture panel at the prestigious event which welcomed leaders in the fast, casual restaurant industry from across the UK.
“Our discussion centred around post-pandemic changes in consumer habits and how we can best satisfy customers’ needs through working with our people in the most efficient and effective way.”
Going back in time, Anthony said the business had experienced “some pretty tough trading times” when the first restaurant was set up during the pandemic.
Having successfully overcome the challenges, Anthony is now looking to expand Burger & Sauce.
Talking about the conference, he added: “Our reliance on technology to make our team’s jobs much easier, is just one aspect of our approach that I was able to share during the informative panel discussion.
“We also talked about how customers will always demand products which are great value, and of high quality, coupled with excellent service and how we worked with our teams to deliver these elements of our proposition throughout the lockdowns and beyond.”
