A fire safety firm is expecting success after appointing a new franchisee to strengthen its presence in Manchester.
Jackson Fire and Security, which has 13 franchise sites across the UK, has recruited Middleton-based Paul Hogg to ensure more businesses in the region are equipped with up-to-date building safety solutions.
With strong links in Manchester having previously worked as a site engineer in the Arndale Centre, Paul is eager to further extend the franchise’s reach across the region.
He has already expanded services into Oldham and Rochdale, while also covering Bury, Bolton, and Wigan, and has recruited engineer Jason Heywood to assist with its growth.
The franchise takeover builds on Paul’s long-standing relationship with the North Wales-headquartered firm, developed during his time at Europe’s largest industrial manufacturing conglomerate Siemens.
Across his nine years at the company as a technical support engineer and customer training manager, one of his key tasks was to teach Jackson Fire & Security staff to use Cerberus Pro fire alarm products.
Paul said: “Despite working across the country with Siemens, I’ve lived in Manchester my whole life and began my career here, starting as an apprentice in the city centre at age 15 where I carried out electrical maintenance on high-rise buildings.
“I’m excited to be part of a national brand identity while harnessing my knowledge of fire and safety regulations to strengthen support for local organisations, from large businesses to charities and sports clubs.
“As a qualified Siemens partner, I’m also distinctly positioned as I can sell and install its latest products to customers, as well as carry out vital maintenance work so clients get the most cost-effective and high-quality service.
“It’s key for all organisations to have compliant equipment for safety and security, so I hope to build up trust with a client base by supplying state-of-the-art solutions.”
Steve Jackson, managing director at Jackson Fire and Security, said: “We are lucky to have a brilliant relationship with our suppliers, so by recruiting Paul, who has extensive industry knowledge, we hope to keep our finger on the pulse.
“As we already have a presence in Manchester, it will be fantastic to focus on expanding our contracts in the area and seamlessly provide businesses with the most recent technologies.”
Jackson Fire and Security employs more than 60 people across franchises in North Wales, north west England, Yorkshire, Teesside, as well as Cambridgeshire, London, Kent, and Surrey.
