David Lowe has become the artificial grass specialist’s biggest success story by topping the seven-figure turnover mark and increasing his sales by 92 per cent in just five years.
The LazyLawn licensee for East Riding and Lincolnshire installed over 16,500 square metres of artificial turf in 2013, compared to 1,317 square metres in 2009, to become the company’s reigning salesman of the year.
NATIONAL NAMES
David, 43, is growing a successful business by specialising in the installation of artificial golf greens across the UK for national names including Center Parcs and Haven, as well as domestic installations and projects for schools.
He explains: “I’ve seen a huge increase in enquiries in the last couple of years, as more people have become aware of the benefits it offers.
“I had already started my own business installing artificial grass when I found out about the licensee opportunities from LazyLawn.
“It stood out as being the most impressive product on the market, so joining the network seemed like a fantastic opportunity.”
David adds: “Since becoming a licensee, I have received a constant stream of sales leads and had countless opportunities presented to me from head office that I otherwise would not have had.
“As a team, we’ve grown from just two installers to nine and due to the increase in manpower are now able to complete around five installations every week.”
HIGH PROFILE PROJECTS
As well as being the first company to install artificial grass for residential lawns in the UK, LazyLawn has worked on a number of high profile projects, including the London 2012 Olympics, Selfridges’ famous displays and the Big Brother garden, and was the first artificial grass brand to appear at the Chelsea Flower Show.
“Interest in our products is growing at an unprecedented rate and we now need to expand our licensee network further in order to meet demand and further develop the brand,” Andy Driver, marketing director at LazyLawn, says.
“We have a number of exclusive opportunities to join our professional network of accredited installers, which is an ideal opportunity for those wanting to develop a significant add on for an existing landscaping business.”
