Property expert becomes company’s ninth UK franchisee
Meyers Estate Agents has named Sara Benham (pictured) as franchisee for its mid-Somerset territory.
The 24/7, home-based agency, which was founded by Mark Meyer 10 years ago, now has nine franchisees across the region and continues to recruit nationally.
Mark says: “Sara’s previous experience as an estate agent and the strength of her local connections will ensure she’s well placed to take advantage of some of the most buoyant property market conditions we’ve ever seen to offer houses for sale in Street, Glastonbury, Wells and Shepton Mallet.
“Taking advantage of the latest technology, combined with the low overheads achieved by moving away from the high street, offers a robust and resilient business model.
“We help property owners sell fast through local knowledge, great marketing and digital channels.
“Over the past decade, we’ve carefully developed and piloted the agile Meyers concept, moving it beyond all expectations.”
Before joining Meyers, Sara ran her own online estate agency for four years. She also worked as an agent for Purplebricks and as a manager for a high street branch of Countrywide.
She says: “I’ve chosen to make the move to Meyers because the franchise includes all the best elements from the traditional model without the unnecessary trappings of a high street location.
“It’s also a family business with strong ethics and values centred around a personal approach, which looks after both sellers and buyers equally, and this really appealed to me.
“The tools and training provided, including the 21-step selling system, is second to none and the same methodical approach is applied to building business in each territory.
“After a tough year, I’m now really excited to be joining Meyers, working back in an area of Somerset I know and love.”
